Naval Architects Matt Bierwagen and J. Reed Ameel Join the Growing Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering Group.

 

RESOLVE Engineering Group, LLC has added two Naval Architects to its full-service naval architecture and marine engineering group in New Orleans, LA.  Matthew Bierwagen joined RESOLVE from Trinity Yachts, LLC and Trinity Offshore, LLC, Gulfport, MS, where he was Staff Naval Architect.  His experience includes shipbuilding, manufacturing, new product design and engineering for both private yachts and commercial vessels.  Bierwagen is a graduate of Virginia Tech and holds a B.S. in Ocean Engineering and is a member of SNAME.  J. Reed Ameel joined RESOLVE from Incat Crowther, Morgan City, LA where he was a Naval Architect.  His experience includes design for production of various OSVs, development of vessel structural design as well as damage and intact stability reporting, and working within the regulatory frameworks of CFR, ABS, BV, and DNV.  Ameel is a graduate of the University of Michigan, where he earned a B.S.E. in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering.

 

Michael Walker, Director of New Orleans-based RESOLVE Engineering Group, LLC said, “We see growing demand for our design and production support services on the Gulf Coast and in the Southeast United States.  Bringing on these talented young professionals increases our capacity to handle our current jobs and the new assignments we anticipate in the coming months.  Presently our design teams are focused on a seagoing 1000-ton heavy lift A-frame crane, fleet support for several offshore service companies, and ShipConstructor structural modeling and lofting of a floating levee gate among other commercial projects.  In addition to our design and production work, we will also expand our damage stability plan writing and response services this year.”
