Wilhelmsen Ships Service is proud to announce that it has won the WCA (World Cargo Alliance) Best Partner Award - Middle East 2009.

Wilhelmsen Ships Service has been a member of the WCA, a global network of independent international freight forwarders, since 2003. The company participated with representatives from their Middle East, India, Norway, Thailand and China branches in the Bangkok WCA partner conference in January. At the conference, over 500 WCA members met their peers face-to-face building new business relationships and strengthening existing ties through more than 6,000 one-on-one meetings and parallel running workshops.

Wilhelmsen Ships Service won the award as a result of a vote in which each member is invited to elect a Best Partner within the network, who they find most supportive in terms of business generation, professionalism in communicating and excellent in service delivery. This year the company was nominated amongst the top three for the Africa region, in addition to winning the WCA Best Partner Award - Middle East 2009.
