Drydocks World Presents at the Royal Society for Public Health

Drydocks World & Maritime World said it has attained new heights in its core business by practicing business excellence principles as well as by prioritizing employee betterment and welfare. The company has been one of the pioneers in implementing occupational health activities in the region.

The achievements of Drydocks World & Maritime World in the field of occupational health and welfare of employees were presented recently at the Annual Speakers Dinner of the Royal Society of Public Health in London by Dr. Omar Hassan, Chief Medical Officer at Drydocks World & Maritime World. Speakers for the annual event are invited through special invitation and each edition features one speaker.

The talk was very well received by the audience comprising of senior members of the Society. Chief Executive of the Society, Dr. Shirley Cramer CBE lauded Drydocks World & Maritime World’s extraordinary achievements in the field of Occupational Health and employee welfare. Mementos were exchanged at the close of the event.

His Excellency Khamis Juma Buamim, Chairman of Drydocks World & Maritime World commented, “We believe in providing extensive coverage of health services to meet the needs of our staff and to provide access to the most basic preventive interventions and measures for protection against occupational diseases. There interventions are effective for primary prevention of occupational hazards, developing a healthy work place and for maintaining and restoring functional capability. As an organization that has pioneered and succeeded in implementing occupational health and employee welfare programs, we feel that such initiatives should be shared and disseminated among a wide audience. It is a testament to our pioneering work that a body such as the RSPH has recognized & sought our participation to share our work with their members”
