Coast Guard's NMC Reaches Out on Server Problems

October 18, 2011

Mariner Credentialing Program List Server Issues.

Recently the National Maritime Center (NMC) experienced some technical difficulties with the Mariner Credentialing Programs (MCP) information List Server service. Our recent consolidation and simplification to the lists required changes to control settings, some of which inadvertently left the Mariner Credentialing Program Information list open allowing all list serve members to post. Currently all three List Server categories are back on line having been assured the control setting issue has been resolved and tested.

The MCP List Server is an important tool that allows the Coast Guard to share credentialing information with the maritime industry quickly and efficiently. We understand and share your frustration over the unnecessary email traffic that occurred over the last week and have made every effort to ensure this situation is corrected and not repeated. Should you experience any issue with a list server message please contact the NMC at the email or phone number below.
You may subscribe or unsubscribe to one or more of our lists:

  • Mariner Credentialing Program Information
  • Mariner Medical
  • Mariner Courses and Training

via the link at the bottom of the NMC webpage (www.uscg.mil/nmc) or directly at: http://cgls.uscg.mil/sublist.cgls?k=10

Should you require additional information or assistance, please contact the NMC by email at [email protected] or by phone at 1-888-IASKNMC.

Sincerely,

Anthony S. Lloyd / Captain, U. S. Coast Guard / Commanding Officer
