Ex-Maersk and Torm IT Manager Walter Hannemann joins Dualog to drive development of future-ready maritime software solutions Independent maritime software solutions and ITC (Information & Communication Technology) services provider Dualog has appointed Walter Hannemann as its new Product Manager. Hannemann, an electronics engineer and experienced shipping industry ITC specialist joins Dualog after holding positions in IT management at Maersk Tankers and Torm. Heikinheimo New President of Napa Group
Juha Heikinheimo (54) was appointed President of Napa Group (Napa Ltd), a leading provider of software solutions for the maritime industry. The appointment takes effect on September 1, 2011. Mr Heikinheimo assumes the position from Matti Salo, who successfully served as President of Napa Group for eleven years. Mr Salo will continue as President of the subsidiary, Onboard-Napa Ltd. He will focus his attention on customers and boosting the growth of the NAPA for Operations business. Heikinheimo has extensive experience of the shipbuilding industry.
Cargotec Acquires Interschalt Maritime Systems AG
Cargotec Corporation agreed to acquire INTERSCHALT maritime systems AG, the specialist software and related service provider to the maritime industry. The acquisition will complement Cargotec's strategic aim of being a leader in intelligent cargo handling. Cargotec will gain more competence in technologically advanced software and service solutions and attains a global footprint with branch offices, service stations and partner representations. Cargotec has agreed to acquire all the shares in the German software and service company INTERSCHALT.
