DP World Future Leaders Visit UAE Embassy in Singapore

Future leaders of DP World UAE Region met HE Abdullah Al Mandoos, Acting Charge d’Affaires of the UAE Embassy in Singapore this week as part of their Advance Leadership Development Program.
           

Al Mandoos welcomed 17 UAE National employees at the UAE Embassy in Singapore where they discussed bilateral business and trade relations as well as Singapore's successful experience in leadership, innovation and how DP World can benefit from the such leading experience.

The visit to the Embassy is part of an 18 month program to visit a number of Fortune 500 Companies in Singapore, to support the development of an Emirati leadership talent pool designed to place individuals in strategic leadership roles.
 
The Advance Leadership Development Programme is organized in association with The University of Arizona Eller College of Management to foster the development of management skills among the talented Emirati nationals.
 
Mohammed Al Muallem, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, DP World UAE Region, said: “As our most important asset we invest in our people to equip them with the skills to innovate and drive change.  With a dedicated and experienced professional team of over 8,000 people, our UAE Region will benefit immensely from this Advanced Leadership Development Programme designed to enhance supply chain efficiency through excellence in management. The Program enables the career progression of UAE Nationals to grow into strategic roles and provides them with the skills to help lead the future of our business and the industry.”
 
Mariam Al Ali, Manager, Learning & Development, DP World UAE Region, said: “We were honored to meet with HE Abdullah Al Mandoos to discuss trade relationships between the UAE and Singapore, and Singapore success in various fields and especially in human capital development and rehabilitation of necessary science to build a nation able to overcome challenges. As a global trade enabler, we firmly believe in the on-going development of our people to maximize their potential through strategic workshops, business simulation, international placements, mentoring and coaching.”
 
The UAE is the largest trading partner of Singapore in the Middle East and Singapore was the first country outside the region to sign a Free Trade Agreement with GCC nations.
