Waterproof Charts Available from OceanGrafix

February 7, 2013

Nearly all nautical charts in stock are now available from OceanGrafix in new 100% waterproof format.

Printed on a high-grade synthetic material, OceanGrafix’ s new waterproof charts are completely impervious to water.

“Mariners face a variety of conditions onboard that can make it challenging to keep paper charts dry,” says OceanGrafix President Ron Walz. “This new format, however, will ensure that charts canå be utilized under even the most challenging conditions.”

“While our standard, water-resistant charts meet the needs of many of our clients, some environments do call for a truly waterproof chart,” adds Walz. “This new format gives our mariners another option. It’s just one more way that we can help ensure that mariners will use charts onboard—and improve their safety on the water.”

St. Paul, Minnesota–based OceanGrafix is the first and only company to offer NOAA print-on-demand nautical charts for recreational and commercial boaters. Working in partnership with NOAA, the company ensures distribution of the most accurate, up-to-date NOAA paper charts as well as a variety of charts for international waters.
