Ship Engineers' Strike Averted

May 15, 2014

The possible strike by 600 Norwegian engineers in service on ships has been cancelled after involved parties involved reached an agreement, GAC said in its daily Hot Port News report.

The strike would have impacted most maritime traffic at Norwegian ports, bringing ferries, fast ferries, tugs, training ships, rescue boats and coastal steamers to a halt.
