New Ship Emergency Kit for Passengers, Not Crew

February 26, 2013

Cruise Ship Emergency Kits launched by Get Ready Room in response to the escalation of cruise disasters.

According to USA Today, over 10 million Americans every year vacation on a cruise. A cruise ship creates the image of a floating city, but in many ways it's a machine like an airplane or a car. In the past, cruise ship disasters have been caused by icebergs, coral reefs, pirates, storms and fires resulting in over 2350 deaths, over 750 cases of injury or illness, and an additional 4 – 8 days of unplanned time at sea.

US-owned Get Ready Room has just announced the release of its latest product, 'The Cruise Ship Emergency Kit' . Company officials said that with the recent cruise ship fire and general lack of on-board emergency provisions, a maritime preparedness kit was long overdue. Hence the development of a product that provides  many items to help keep passengers safe and comfortable in the case of just such an emergency or disruption of services.

Get Ready Room officials believe anyone planning a cruise should be prepared. The Cruise Ship Emergency Kit comes in a waterproof bag that is compact and fits nicely in a corner of your luggage. Don’t sail with out it!
