The Federal Government has been advised by the Director, Nigerian Navy Chaplaincy, to provide appropriate & adequate platforms for the Nigerian Navy to quell piracy.
Director, Nigerian Navy Chaplaincy, Lt. Commander Iyobosa Osaghae, at an interdenominational service to mark the 57th anniversary of the force at the All Protestant Military Church, Mogadishu Cantonment, Abuja, advised the government to provide appropriate and adequate platforms for the Nigerian Navy to enable the force meet up with the task of checking criminality in the nation’s vast maritime environment, including oil theft, vandalisation and piracy.
He also noted that the Nigerian Navy led by Vice Admiral Dele Ezeoba (CNS) was blessed with experienced and well trained personnel who just need the equipment to do the job of protecting the nation’s resources at sea.
