Marty Forson, Director of Sales, Gulf Shipping Agencies, keynote speaker at the conference.

This presentation will give an overview and insight into the shipping of petcoke: "Petcoke Logistics: Costs & Concerns". It covers the role of the steamship agent, including their interaction with all parties involved in the transaction, to expedite the logistics process and minimize costs.

Marty Forson has garnered extensive experience in the shipping of petcoke in his career as a steamship agent over the past 24 years. During this time he has worked closely with most of the industry's leading suppliers, charterers, vessel owners/operators, terminals, stevedores and surveyors to expedite the loading of petcoke and the sailing of the vessel towards its final destination. In 2011 Marty joined the largest independent steamship agency in North America, Moran Shipping Agencies, as Director of Sales-Dry Bulk Operations, and his expertise has been invaluable to Moran and their pet coke clients.

Mr. Forson will be a featured speaker on Friday afternoon March 1, 2013 at the 12th Annual Petcoke Conference in San Antonio, Texas.

Petroleum coke (often abbreviated Pet coke or petcoke) is a carbonaceous solid derived from oil refinery coker units or other cracking processes, and not from the more widely known source of coke – coal.
