Bow2Stern/Engine Starting Products Announces Asset Acquisition of L&H Electric Co. Inc.

 

Bow 2 Stern Services / Engine Starting Products and its owners Harry “Buster” Naquin and Shane Thibodeaux are pleased to announce the acquisition of the assets of L&H Electric Co. Inc. from Shamrock Management L.L.C. of Houma.

 

“The acquisition broadens our customer base and brings additional products and services to our already diverse line of offerings,” said Shane Thibodeaux, former general manager of L&H Electric under its previous owner, Mr. David Henry, prior to his death in 2007. “Bow2Stern Services / Engine Starting Products are already the largest starter and alternator repair facility on the Gulf Coast and will continue to grow through future acquisitions.”

 

Bow2Stern Services /Engine Starting Products, a Houma-based distributor and service center for more than 65 product lines for the marine industry, sells and services new and reconditioned engine starters (air, electric and hydraulic), engine cooling pumps, engine controls, fire-fighting nozzles and monitors. The company, founded in 2000 and incorporated in 2002, also sells hydraulic pump, motors and cylinders; air compressors, controls and bulk compressor systems.

 

The acquisition broadens the company’s offerings to include L&H’s lines of air, electric and hydraulic starters, as well as electric alternators, batteries, engine safety systems, magnetos, gauges, constavolts, power supplies. Shamrock Management, which announced it is focusing on its core business of providing production personnel in such areas as mechanics, instrumentation and measurement, stated it believes L&H customers deserve to have their needs met by a “committed team of skilled service technicians with a primary focus on starters” and that Bow2Stern will be able to take over that high level service its customers have come to expect.
