Washington State Ferries Contract for G4S Technology

G4S Technology LLC wins Washington State Department of Transportation, Ferries Division contract to upgrade security systems.

G4S Technology LLC (formerly Adesta), a systems integrator and project management company for electronic security systems and communication networks, has been awarded a $3.8M contract from the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Ferries Division to provide security system upgrades.

They will install new Milestone XProtect® Corporate Video Management Software (VMS). IPSecurity Center TM from CNL will be utilized as the Physical Security Information Management System (PSIM) to integrate various security components into one interoperable Command and Control System (CCS) with a common user interface. Updates also include a new AMAG Symmetry Access Control System (ACS) that will be Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) capable. The work is currently underway and is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2013.

The Washington State Ferry (WSF) system is the largest in the United States, serving eight counties within Washington and the province of British Columbia in Canada. WSF’s existing system has 10 routes and 20 terminals that are served by 22 vessels. WSF carries 10 million vehicles and more than 22 million people annually.
