GEG Reaches One Million Consecutive Safe Work Hours

March 25, 2015

Greene’s Energy Group, LLC (GEG), a leading provider of integrated testing, rentals and specialty services, has reached its corporate goal of one million consecutive safe work hours.

“I am pleased to announce that on March 16, 2015, we reached this important milestone,” said Bob Vilyus, CEO, Greene’s Energy Group. “This achievement would not have been accomplished without the dedication of GEG employees, making safety the highest priority in our business through the Mission Zero initiative.”

Greene’s has certified quality and safety management systems along with best practices, policies and procedures that form the foundation of the QHSE Program. GEG has participated in the OSHA SHARP program for numerous years and is currently concluding Phase 3 of the OSHA Challenge Program.

Mission Zero was first implemented by Greene’s Energy Group, under the guidance of Zero Injury Institute® (ZII), in 2014 as a safety process with a focus on eliminating at-risk behaviors and preventing injuries. Regional teams comprised of all employee levels in the organization, analyzed local issues of potentially risky behavior and set priorities to drive safety improvement plans. Not only does Mission Zero demonstrate Greene’s commitment to a zero incident rate, but it fosters a culture of safety, including focus on near miss reporting, mentoring program, shared safety data process, subcontractor standards and a recognition and awards program.

According to ZII, an organization dedicated to assisting corporate leaders in strengthening company safety programs, Greene's Energy Group has become a member of a select group of oilfield service companies to document one million consecutive safe work hours.

“Reaching this milestone is important and we will continue to strive every day to maintain a safe working environment for our employees and our customers,” said Mr. Vilyus.
