ABS Nautical Systems Wins Two International Contracts

February 1, 2012

ABS Nautical Systems Nets Two New Clients.

ABS Nautical Systems has signed a contract with Samson Maritime Ltd. for the use of its NS5 software.   Located in Mumbai, Samson Maritime Ltd., owns and operates a fleet of offshore supply vessels, maintenance tugs and workboats.

Samson Maritime Ltd. has chosen to implement the Maintenance & Repair, Hull Inspection and Drawings Management modules as offered through the ABS Newbuild Program, which provides these modules free for the first year to all ABS-classed vessels built before 1 January 2009. The software will be installed on four of their platform supply vessels as well as in the office.  This will give Samson Maritime Ltd., the ability to operate more efficiently by tracking the structural condition of its vessels, while easily identifying maintenance trends.

Rio de Janeiro based Wilson, Sons Ultratug Offshore has also signed a contract with ABS Nautical Systems for use of its NS5 Enterprise software. This is the sixth contract win for ABS Nautical Systems in the Rio market.

Wilson, Sons Ultratug Offshore, a joint venture between two of South America’s best known shipping companies, operates offshore support vessels in Brazil. The company will be implementing the Maintenance & Repair and Purchasing & Inventory modules on 11 of their platform supply vessels. The maintenance program will give Wilson, Sons the ability to generate a preventive maintenance plan that includes job-specific worklists for day-to-day crew use.  The Purchasing & Inventory software will help to easily identify inventory replacement needs, average transaction costs, delivery dates and turnaround cycle times, while linking directly to their accounting system.   The use of both modules will allow for a more streamlined approach to managing their vessels.
