April 4, 2013

The Mariner Group has been chosen to supply CommandBridge™ as the cornerstone of its Maritime Command and Control & Situational Awareness project.

Galveston will deploy CommandBridge, the industry-leading situation management and response platform, to improve security and operations across its 850 acres of port facilities along one of the busiest shipping channels in the world, the Houston Ship Channel.

The project also includes Mariner's PortFolio™ port management software, consolidating Galveston's port operations management processes into an integrated system.

"Mariner is extremely proud to have been selected by the Port of Galveston for this important project," said Steve Dryden , Mariner's President & CEO. "Our CommandBridge software suite leads the industry in delivering security, situational awareness and response. Additionally, Mariner's port operations management can significantly enhance maritime operations."

"Mariner was selected for this project after an extensive vendor evaluation process," said Mike Mierzwa , Galveston's Port Director. "We believe that Mariner's CommandBridge system is the right fit with the Port of Galveston's growing security and port operational needs for the future. Mariner impressed us with the knowledge and understanding of the unique challenges associated with maritime domain awareness and how to address them and we look forward to working with them on this project."
