HMS Global Maritime Listed Among Fastest-growing Private Companies

August 18, 2015

HMS Global Maritime informs it has been ranked 2,365 on Inc. magazine’s ninth annual 500|5000, a ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies.

HMS Global Maritime President and CEO John Waggoner said, “At HMS Global Maritime, our philosophy has always been to push ourselves to not only be a world-class marine company, but to look for opportunities which help us achieve our goals and set us apart from the rest of the marine industry. I like to say that we never take our foot off the gas pedal. To have the amount of growth we have realized over the past three years would have been incredible in itself, but to do so with a weak economic environment is nothing short of remarkable. It is a true testament to the dedication of the entire HMS Global Maritime team.”

In a stagnant economic environment, median growth rate of 2015 Inc. 500|5000 companies is 152 percent. HMS Global Maritime has a growth rate of 161 percent.

The 2015 Inc. 500|5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2011 to 2014.

"Not all the companies in the Inc. 500|5000 are in glamorous industries, but in their fields they are as famous as household name companies simply by virtue of being great at what they do. They are the hidden champions of job growth and innovation, the real muscle of the American economy,” said Inc. Editor Eric Schurenberg.
