Elcome to Open Coltraco Ultrasonics Service Center in UAE

April 28, 2016

Elcome International, a marine solutions provider and system integrator in the Middle East, has been appointed by Coltraco Ultrasonics to provide service and technical support for its products in the United Arab Emirates.

Under the agreement, Elcome is establishing an authorized Organizational Delegate Authority (ODA) Service Center for Coltraco’s Portalevel MAX and Portascanner ultrasonic products at its headquarters facility in Dubai.

Portalevel MAX is Coltraco’s eighth-generation liquid level indicator. The UL-approved intrinsically safe product uses ultrasonic technology to detect the level of fire suppression agent contained within a cylinder. Coltraco has installed Portalevel products on more than 9,000 commercial vessels, 1,000 offshore oil and gas platforms, 500 power stations and 5,000 fire protection companies in 105 countries. Portascanner provides watertight integrity testing for hatch covers, cable transit areas, flanges, doors, scuttles and steering gear seals. It is an efficient alternative to water hose or pressure testing.

“As an approved Coltraco ODA service station, we will provide annual recalibration and first-line repairs at our technology center in Dubai,” said Prasanth Gopalakrishnan, Deputy General Manager - Sales of Elcome International. “We are moving quickly to establish a team of factory-trained service engineers for the Coltraco products.”

“Elcome joins our growing network of Coltraco ODA service stations at strategic locations around the world,” said Carl Stephen Patrick Hunter, CEO & Managing Director, Coltraco Ultrasonics. “Elcome will enable us to provide prompt and efficient recalibration services and repairs for our products, minimizing downtime for our customers, in this important region.”
