Bristol Harbor Designs 35,000 BBL Barge

Statia Victory, a 35,000 BBL, 290-ft Double Hull Tank Barge designed by Bristol Harbor Group, Inc. (BHGI) has recently been completed and delivered by Orange Shipbuilding Co., Inc. (OSB) in Orange, Texas, a division of Conrad Industries, Inc. The barge, OSB hull #403, is similar to several previous BHGI designs and a close sister vessel to OSB hull numbers 395, 396, 397, and 400. The Statia Victory incorporates numerous modifications to piping systems, deck layout, mooring and fendering arrangements to suit owner-specific needs for bunkering and lightering processes.

The barge is classed ABS Maltese Cross A1 Oil Tank Barge, VEC, unmanned ocean service. She is equipped with separate cargo pumps and piping to provide for carriage of diesel oil up to approximately 40% of her total cargo capacity. She is outfitted to include on-deck carriage of lubricating oil in bulk, including transfer pump capabilities. The barge is also equipped with closed gauging and a high level/overfill alarm system and is outfitted with a closed vapor collection system for connection to a shore-side facility for processing of cargo vapors during transfer operations.
