CMA CGM Announces Emergency Operational Surcharge for Zanzibar

 CMA CGM has announced to its customers that there is increasing deterioration of the port congestion up to 15 days in Zanzibar, Tanzania, which is beyond their control.

 
CMA CGM will implement an Emergency Operational surcharge in Zanzibar applicable to all shipments until further notice as follows:
Import and Export Zanzibar
Surcharge is payable by the freight payor
All cargo
Effective May 14th, 2016 (B/L date) for worldwide trades except USA
USA effective June 3rd, 2016 (gate-in date) subject to FMC Filing
USD 225 per TEU
 
In a continued effort to provide quality services, CMA CGM hereby informs its customers of an Emergency Rate Restoration Program:
Effective May 15th, 2016 (B/L date):
From Far East and Japan
To West Med, East Med, Black Sea, Adriatic and North Africa trades
All cargo
USD 250 per TEU
