Global transportation provider SBS Worldwide has appointed Lars Hansen as Regional Vice President of Operations, South East USA.

Mr. Hansen will play a key role in ensuring the further development of the company’s ability to analyse, design, implement and operate end-to-end supply chain solutions tailored to the exact requirements of clients. He will report directly to Mr. Christian Marz, Director of Operations USA, and will be based at the company’s Atlanta office.

His appointment is part of a recent restructuring of SBS Worldwide’s USA business, which sees the business focused on four key regions as it further enhances its ability to offer the exact supply chain solutions required by customers at a local level, combined with its ability
to offer a highly personalized service at a global level.

Mr. Lars Kloch, USA Managing Director, said: “Lars will fill a vital place in our new regional structure as he heads our Atlanta office in its pivotal role as leaders in the South East USA supply chain industry. “We are confident that his experience will enable our Atlanta office to continue to grow and develop its ability to offer services that are tailored to the specific requirements of our customers.”

In total, Mr. Hansen has more than 18 years’ industry experience, has worked for a range of global logistics providers and has held a variety of management roles.
