Thome Ship Management Appoints New Managing Director

Carsten Brix Ostenfeldt has been appointed Managing Director of Thome Ship Management with immediate effect.

 

He replaces Bjorn Hojgaard who has resigned from the group to pursue other interests. Carsten becomes Managing Director of Thome Ship Management after serving as the company’s Technical Director for the last two years. Olav Eek Thorstensen, Thome Group Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, said today: “I am very pleased to announce that we have appointed Carsten Brix Ostenfeldt as our new Managing Director.”

 

Mr Thorstensen thanked Bjorn Hojgaard for his time at Thome Ship Management and said his decision to leave the group was “sad but understandable”. “Bjorn leaves us with best wishes and I would like to place on record my personal thanks to him for his service to Thome Ship Management during a time of significant advancement and change. He has led the company with determination and vision. I am sure everyone at Thome wishes him well for his future.” Thome Ship Management’s other Directors and senior management team remains in place. Olav Eek Thorstensen continues as Chairman and group Chief Executive of Thome Group and Claes Eek Thorstensen remains as President of Thome Group.
