March 30, 2012

Alliance extends geographic reach for both companies and completes Port Logistics Group's national footprint.

Port Logistics Group, the nation's leading provider of gateway logistics services, and Coastal Logistics Group, Inc. (CLG), a leading Southeast logistics provider, today announced a partnership that extends geographic reach and service offerings for both companies. The partnership will allow the companies to offer complete logistics solutions at all major U.S. import and export gateways.  Port Logistics Group and its partners operate more than 4 million square feet of warehouse space in and around the ports of New York/New Jersey, LA/Long Beach, and Seattle.  Coastal Logistics Group, Inc. serves the Southeast gateway through locations in Savannah, Norfolk and Memphis.

"This partnership completes one of our key strategic goals – creating a logistics provider that can serve customers in any of the major North American import gateways," said Bob Stull, CEO of Port Logistics Group.  "Our customers can now quickly adjust their supply chains to reduce costs and increase speed to market, and be confident that they'll receive consistent service, regardless of the port of entry."

The companies will co-market their services to regional and national clients with dynamic supply chain requirements in multiple industry verticals.  Port Logistics Group brings significant retail, apparel, and general merchandise expertise to the partnership; CLG is a leader in serving clients in energy, automotive, aerospace, industrial, and general commodity industries.

Coastal Logistics Group, Inc. has served the Southeast region since 2004 and operates in Norfolk, Memphis, and in a new 320,000 square foot Norfolk Southern rail served distribution facility that also serves as its headquarters in Savannah.  Its services include distribution, contract logistics, specialized export packing and crating, and project cargo for exporters.
