During recent weeks, Noreq has been awarded several major contracts with Asian yards. Both Korea and Singapore is growing to be very important markets for Noreq. Some weeks back it was made official that Noreq was awarded the contract for Lifeboat packages for Maersk drillships being built with Samsung Heavy Industries in Korea. This week, even more rig orders have been landed by Noreq. At Jurong Shipyard in Singapore, Noreq has been awarded the lifesaving package for 8 plus 6 optional Jack Up rigs they are building for Seadrill and Noble Drilling. Jurong is being one of the most active Singaporean yards and this is considered to be a break-through contract for Noreq AS with Jurong. Another Singaporean yard choosing Noreq equipment for new buildings is Keppel Fels Singapore. They have ordered Life- and rescue boat packages for 2 rigs they are building for Discovery Offshore SA. Not only for Rig and drillship vessels have the recent weeks been good. Noreq has also received orders of 20 packages of rescue vessels and belonging davits. The total value of the contracts signed those recent weeks, including the optional jack up vessels, will exceed USD 15 mill. “This autumn has stared very well for Noreq. We have been chosen as supplier on many prestigious projects and this is more than anything else a declaration of trust towards our company, our products and our services .” says Mr Styrk Bekkenes, Managing Director in Noreq.
