DNV GL Announced Winner at Global Risk Awards

DNV GL was named the ‘Risk Management Consultancy of the Year’ at the Global Risk Awards 2015 for the second year running.
 
With a cross-continent judging panel comprising of more than 24 risk management practitioners and academics, and entries submitted from across the globe, the awards represent achievement for risk professionals and organizations. DNV GL was recognized for its performance within the industry by the Institute of Risk Management (IRM) at the prestigious award ceremony last night.  
 
DNV GL, which celebrated 150 years of operation last year, supports businesses in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks. The company’s main area of expertise lies within asset, enterprise, operational, sustainability and project investment risk.  Commendation was also given to the Spadeadam test site in Cumbria, which simulates major events such as fire and explosions to test the impact on buildings and critical systems to demonstrate the potential impact and examine technical solutions.
 
The company, which was up against four other businesses, was highly commended for its diverse services across a range of industries such as energy, oil and gas, petrochemical, aviation and healthcare.  Its strategic research programmes in particular, received extremely positive recognition due to its strong focus on creative problem solving and innovation.  Projects include; researching Arctic risks for oil and gas exploration and production, managing the future supply of energy, and healthcare research to promote patient safety.
 
Approximately 400 participants attended the awards ceremony, hosted by actress Joanna Lumley, at the Hilton Park Lane in London on Thursday, February 19.
