Vietnam Offshore Contract for EMAS AMC

October 2, 2012

EMAS AMC contracted by Petroleum Technical Services Corporation Mechanical and Construction to provide facilities for the Dua sub-sea field.

Singapore-based EMAS AMC, the subsea division of EMAS, a leading global offshore contractor and provider of integrated offshore solutions to the oil and gas (O&G) industry, has been awarded a contract from Petroleum Technical Services Corporation Mechanical and Construction (PTSC M&C) for the transportation and installation of facilities for the Dua subsea field, which will be developed as a subsea tie-back to the Chim Sao Field in offshore Vietnam.

The contract value is approximately US$47-million and will commence in the third quarter of 2012. It includes the transportation and installation-engineering, testing, inspection, offshore-installation and commissioning of subsea flowlines, structures, risers and umbilicals. The subsea installation work is expected to commence in the first quarter of 2013 and will take place in Block 12W in offshore Vietnam.

EMAS has been involved in the life-of-field development at Chim Sao, from the fabrication of module stools at TRIYARDS in Vietnam to the provision, installation and commissioning of the floating production, storage and offloading vessel, the Lewek EMAS.

Mr C.J. D’Cort, CEO of EMAS AMC, said: “I am delighted with this win and would like to thank PTSC M&C for this vote of confidence, and a continuing partnership with Premier Oil and PTSC M&C. As offshore production in Asia gradually moves into deeper waters, the region presents significant opportunities for subsea services. EMAS AMC has invested heavily in our engineering capabilities and is poised to ride the wave of growth as more subsea projects come online in the coming months.”
