MOL Upgrades CX1 Service Linking Panama, Manaus

July 29, 2011

Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd.  upgraded its CX1 feeder service between Panama and Manaus and the beginning of independent operation on the route. The move will provide additional space on this rapidly growing trade with four 1,700 TEU ships and stabilize the schedule to boost service quality. Calling ports and transit times remain unchanged from the existing service. The expanded feeder capacity will enable MOL to accommodate additional peak season demand. “Assuming total space and operating control, MOL will be able to enhance its already exceptional service to Manaus with even more reliable relay connections and strong on-time delivery” said MOL Liner Chief Operating Officer, T.K. Konishi.

Service Outline
