SESCO Cement celebrated a milestone on Wednesday, October 14 with a Silos Commissioning Ceremony at its Houston terminal at Port Houston.

The event brought together company leadership, elected officials, port representatives, and industry partners to recognize the company's investment in infrastructure and its commitment to strengthening the construction materials supply chain. The commissioning of the silos represents another step in SESCO Cement's ongoing expansion.

The Houston facility, recognized as the largest single-owner cement terminal in the United States, serves as a hub for SESCO's cement import and distribution operations. The Houston terminal is a 22-acre facility on the Houston Ship Channel with 5 storage domes and six drive-through concrete silos with a total storage capacity of 250,000 metric tons. The facility also features an integrated rail terminal, enhancing SESCO Cement's ability to efficiently transport and distribute cement by rail.

Joining SESCO leadership for the ceremonial ribbon cutting were U.S. Congressman Randy Weber (TX-14); Gregg Reyes, Houston Pilot Board Commissioner and President of Reytec Construction Resources; Eric Casey, Chief Operating Officer of Port Houston; and Eric Carrero, President of the Greater Houston Port Bureau.
