NYK’s HQ Switches to FairTrade Coffee

November 2, 2015

Shipping company NYK announced it has switched the coffee served inside its head office reception rooms to a brand carrying the International Fairtrade certification mark.

More than 50,000 cups of coffee are served in the NYK head office reception rooms every year, the company said, adding that the change should lead to enhanced awareness of global social issues among employees and guests.

NYK has been making fair trade products such as chocolates and craftwork available for sale to employees as part of the company’s social contribution activities.
