MarineCFO Introduces Shipmate

November 16, 2016

Building on its workboat application Vessel365, MarineCFO said it will introduce the complimentary Shipmate Partner Network during the 2016 International Workboat Show in New Orleans. MarineCFO lauds Shipmate as a business advantage for maritime safety, security and engineering consultants.

“The face of maritime consultancy is changing and MarineCFO, as the workboat technology thought leader, is making every effort to provision marine surveyors, auditors, and engineers with the necessary tools to better serve workboat operator clients while optimizing the consultants’ profitability,” said Dean Shoultz, MarineCFO Chief Technology Officer.

Maritime consultants participating as a Shipmate receive free access to and training for MarineCFO’s suite of operational, safety, security and engineering solutions including the Vessel365 application and Endurance modules, according to Shoultz. Advanced notification of new feature sets and opportunities in the development process are also made available to Shipmates free of charge.

“As a trusted technology partner to the maritime industry, MarineCFO’s mission is to empower the marine consultant with the means to enhance their own business through improvement of their clients’ processes. Participating as a MarineCFO Shipmate positions the consultant within a wider maritime collaborative network with the advantage of easy to use compliance, configuration, engineering and security tools. Best of all, Shipmate participation is free,” explained David Hanowski, MarineCFO Chief Executive Officer.

“Two key factors impacting the maritime consultancy-maritime technology crossroads are the technology engagement level of marine operators and the technology tools & support available to maritime consultants in assisting the marine operator’s engagement,” according to Laura Martin, MarineCFO Vice President of Client Services, “Our gap analysis shows that consultants maximizing their use of technology tools achieve a higher degree of profitability while typically exceeding the marine operators’ commercial, regulatory, safety, and security requirements. Consultants who invest the time to participate as a MarineCFO Shipmate will find themselves well on the course to greater profitability.”

While there is no fee for participation, marine safety, security and engineering consultants interested in becoming a Shipmate may apply on the MarineCFO website at shipmate.marinecfo.com.

MarineCFO will also take Shipmate applications at the International Workboat Show, Booth 1844.
