Roy Sea Joins IYC as Florida and California Licensed Yacht Broker.

International Yacht Collection (IYC) has announced that, effective immediately, Roy Sea joins the global yachting firm as a Florida and California Licensed Yacht Broker. With a yachting background that spans forty years, Roy Sea has expertise in many of the world’s leading yacht brands and brokerages: Broward, Burger Boat Company, Christensen, Feadship, Jarrett Bay Yacht Sales (Hatteras, Grand Banks and Albemarle), Merrill Stevens, Ocean Alexander, Palmer Johnson, Vicem USA and Viking to name but a few.

Roy’s experience includes technical skills critical to advising clients buying and selling yachts and considering new yacht construction. He holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering, a B.A. in Economics and an MBA. He worked for the U.S. Navy’s Diving and Ocean Engineering Department, with secret security clearance, testing and operating equipment. He’s also sailed the Atlantic, dived to 290’—and authored engineering papers on diving—worked as a project manager for the cleanup of the Exxon Valdez oil spill in Prince William Sound and has held a U.S. Coast Guard Ocean Operators License since 1972.

Essential to successful brokerage at IYC—with offices now in Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach, Newport, Nassau, St. Maarten, Monaco and Abu Dhabi—Roy has successfully sold yachts in France, Italy, New Zealand, Hong Kong and in most all ocean-side states in America. “We welcome Roy Sea to our exceptional brokerage team,” says Bob Saxon, IYC President. “His richly diverse background in all aspects of yachting, sales and experience on-the-water, even below-the-water, makes him particularly well suited for the expanding IYC brand.”
