Transporter of project, breakbulk and heavylift cargo Intermarine, LLC said it has expanded its Houston-based liner services from the Americas to the Mediterranean. The line will focus on service from the U.S. Gulf Coast/Americas to the Mediterranean, Black Sea and Adriatic Sea – specifically with focuses on Algeria, Egypt and Turkey.

The monthly eastbound service dovetails with Intermarine’s recently announced expansion of the westbound Mediterranean to U.S. Gulf Coast/Americas service. The service will be managed by Chris Harman (formerly Nordana) and leverage Intermarine’s Industrial Terminals in Houston as the base for operations. Additionally, it will offer the ability to extend service from Intermarine’s South American service network to the Mediterranean.

“The new services provide us with an opportunity to grow our relationships with both established and new customers and provide them with the performance and reliability Intermarine is known for,” said Al Stanley, President and CEO of Intermarine. “Industrial Terminals will continue to support the successful integration of facilities and terminal services to our liner services customers.”

“By adding Chris Harman to the team we are gaining 20 years of experience in the trade, excellent customer relationships and proven management of the line – this coupled with our Hugo Trumpy agreement provides us with the targeted expertise our clients deserve,” said Rene Pedersen, Chartering Director - Americas. “We are excited to offer our customers an even more diversified and flexible liner service.”
