Harris CapRock Communications again Top Independent Operator

January 7, 2015

For the fourth consecutive year, Harris CapRock Communications has been ranked number one on The Independent Top Twenty listing by the World Teleport Association (WTA).  The company also ranked fifth on The Global Top Twenty in 2014 based on total revenue and year-over-year growth.

“The WTA’s annual December announcement serves as a definitive marker of the state of the industry and the direction of its leading service providers in the year to come,” said Tracey Haslam, president, Harris CapRock Communications.  “With teleports on six continents, we provide service coverage to nearly any point on the globe.  Our premier position in The Top Teleport Operator Rankings reflects our ability to consistently deliver reliable satellite communications service to our customers no matter how remote or variable their environments may be.”

Harris CapRock’s teleports consistently meet the highest requirements for Department of Defense and National Institute of Standards and Technology compliance for confidentiality, integrity and availability.  All its teleports are designed with fully automatic 1:1 redundancy to achieve maximum availability and fully managed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

In March 2014, Harris CapRock announced that services from its newest customer service center (CSC) in Macaé, Brazil, were fully operational with a team of local engineers and technicians available around the clock to provide technical support in both Portuguese and English.  The new CSC and its local staff optimized the communication and treatment of tickets for customers in a geographical area of dramatic growth and energy exploration.

“Our customers demand the highest quality of service wherever their operations take them around the world,” Haslam said.  “Frequent changes in location and evolving service requirements are typical, and our deep expertise in managing teleport operations and satellite capacity enables us to address these complex requirements shared amongst our customers.”
