Freeman Marine Hires Operations Manager

Freeman Marine, part of AdvanTec Global Innovations and manufacturer of heavy-duty commercial, military-grade marine doors, windows, hatches and port lights, has added Peter White to its operations management team at the Gold Beach manufacturing plant. White will be responsible primarily for cast and fabricated products among other projects in this role. 

 
Dom DiDia, operations director for Freeman Marine, said, “Peter has a long, rich history in the marine industry and is well-versed with our solutions as an end user and a business client. Prior to joining Freeman Marine, Peter was general manager at Palmer Johnson Yachts Ltd., one of AdvanTec’s key clients for many years. He brings that unique end-user perspective that will be key to evaluating and improvising product features, manufacturing processes and new product development.”
 
DiDia added, “Peter has built everything from crew boats to luxury yachts and has a proven track record in managing engineering designs and quality control systems to complex contracts and class approvals quintessential to success in the business. His experience and manufacturing insight will significantly impact our ability to manufacture, deliver and innovate our offering.” 
 
A graduate in mechanical engineering, White has worked in managerial/leadership positions at renowned marine and shipping companies such as Austal, Palmer Johnson Yachts, Derecktor Shipyards and Broward Marine. 
 
Joining White in his new endeavor is wife Sue White who has been appointed as the new purchasing manager. She has also worked in the marine industry for many years in various office management and purchasing roles overseeing contracts, new and service builds and warranty work. 
 
Both Whites report to DiDia and have relocated to Gold Beach, Ore.
