Fendercare to Offer Gunnebo Industries Products

Fendercare Marine announced the signing of a global framework for the sale of Gunnebo Industries products.

Gunnebo Industries manufactures products such as crane blocks, wire rope sheaves, chain and lifting components, shackles and lashing products. The agreement will see Fendercare distribute and supply the entire Gunnebo range of products through Fendercare Marine’s global footprint of bases.

“Gunnebo products are well known and established on the market as a premium product with an outstanding safety record. To have such a global partnership in place means that Fendercare Marine will be able to provide our customers throughout the world with an even greater choice of lifting products and the ultimate in peace of mind," said Lara Griffin, Product Sales Director.

Fendercare Marine notes it has lifting and testing centers at many of its worldwide bases, supplying and servicing the engineering, construction, mining, oil and gas, offshore, subsea, shipping and crane industries. Through its bases, they are able to offer lifting equipment for hire, sale and service; load and stress monitoring equipment and pneumatic/hydraulic hoists and winches, together with tensile testing machines, a full wire rope service, magnetic particle testing, spooling and pressure lubrication equipment. This is backed by a customer online document control system to help ensure the customers lifting equipment remains compliant and safe.

Like Fendercare Marine, Gunnebo Industries is a global company, Headquartered in Sweden, Gunnebo Industries has manufacturing units in three countries and sales companies in 10 countries. Its factory in Tulsa, U.S., manufactures crane blocks, sheaves, overhaul balls and related products to the oil and gas industry and OEM crane industry, whilst chain, lifting components and shackles are manufactured from its bases in Sweden and Norway.

In 2014 Gunnebo Industries opened a new factory, located in Växjö, Sweden which has already created a more streamlined production process, shorter lead times, more efficient R&D and increased availability for customers.
