CEVA Named "Supplier of the Year"

March 12, 2015

CEVA Logistics, today announced that it has been recognized as a "Supplier of the Year" at the General Motors 2014 Supplier of the Year award ceremony in Detroit.

GM recognized its top 78 global suppliers – across all areas of its business – at its 5 March awards ceremony.  "These companies are the best-of-the-best suppliers, deserving special recognition for their outstanding contributions," said Steve Kiefer, GM Vice President, Global Purchasing and Supply Chain. CEVA was the sole 3PL provider to receive an award at the event.

GM and CEVA began doing business together in the 1980's.  Today, CEVA serves GM through dozens of global operations in North America, South America, Asia Pacific and Europe.  CEVA provides an extensive list of complete end-to-end supply chain services for GM including ground transportation, warehousing, sub-assembly/sequencing, line feeding, aftermarket dealer delivery and cross docking, as well as Freight Management services including Air and Ocean freight forwarding, U.S. customs brokerage and project/equipment moves.

John Baisley, CEVA's Vice President of Global Key Account Management, stated, "This award is the result of CEVA's drive toward impeccable execution and the collaborative effort of the numerous teams within CEVA to provide compelling solutions that deliver value to both our valued customer, GM, and to CEVA."

"The catalyst for the 2014 global award resulted from the close working relationship of the GM and CEVA teams in Brazil. For a project in 2014, the two companies' teams worked together with complete transparency from initial strategy planning and negotiations on costs and financial structures, through to flawless execution during implementation.  CEVA met all expectations and delivered additional cost savings in the process.

"To be recognized globally for our efforts in the region is truly an honor.  Given the size and complexity of the project requirements, our team was able to execute flawlessly through every step from award to implementation, all in record time," said Richard Vieites, CEVA Managing Director for South America.
