Bunker Holding Adds Subsidiary Unioil Supply

December 11, 2014

The Bunker Holding Group has established a new subsidiary operating under the name Unioil Supply A/S. The physical setup, based in Aalborg, consists of professionals from the former OW Supply & Trading.

The Danish-based Bunker Holding is the parent company of a group of companies specializing in the purchase, sale and supply of fuel and lube oil to ships as well as risk management and associated services. The group operates globally within the shipping business and is represented by 36 own companies worldwide, currently in 25 countries.

As part of its strategy Bunker Holding has decided to enter the physical part of the bunker market. The group said it holds no aspiration of becoming a major player in the physical market but has a goal to become a niche supplier in selected strategic areas and ports. One of these strategic focus areas is the Nordic region.

At Unioil Supply the team will focus on regional supply trading activities of all conventional grades of fuel and gas oil as well as physical bunker deliveries in and around Scandinavia. Supplies will be provided by both truck and bunker barge.

The team consists of Carsten Klausen, Jesper Sander, Per Funch-Nielsen, Troels Haugaard Jacobsen, Lars Elsberg, Carsten Jensen, Morten Nygaard Rasmussen and Michael Albeck Nielsen as well as a dedicated support team.
