Under the auspices of IMO Secretary-General, Bahri showcases latest achievements and technologies with Saudi Border Guard and Public Transport Authority

Global transportation and logistics company Bahri said it participated in the General Directorate of Border Guards’ celebrations of the 87th National Day and the World Maritime Day. The celebrations included a range of events and special programs for this patriotic occasion, which coincides with the Kingdom’s nomination for membership of the International Maritime Organization’s (IMO) Executive Council.

During the program that was organized for the IMO Secretary General, Bahri Acting CEO, Ali Al-Harbi received IMO Secretary-General, H.E. Adm. Awad bin Eid Al-Balawi, Director General of Saudi Border Guards, Dr. Nabeel Mohammed Al-Amoudi, President, Saudi Ports Authority, Dr. Rumaih bin Mohammed Al-Rumaih, President, Public Transport Authority at the Prince Mohammed bin Naif Academey for Science & Security Studies.

At the event, Bahri showcased its marine transportation and logistics capabilities. The Bahri Truck exhibited the latest technologies and machinery used in its operations, whether in the transportation of petroleum, chemicals and bulk goods, or in logistical services and vessel management, as well as big data technologies and advanced marine analytics, which was adopted through the Bahri Data business unit launched during this year.

“Bahri’s backing of the Kingdom’s membership of the IMO is not only part of its support for the government’s initiatives, but also gives a boost to the role the company plays to accelerate international maritime trade,” said Wael Al-Sarhan, Senior Vice President, Marketing at Bahri.

“Bahri enjoys a storied track record filled with achievements and distinguished performance,” he said. “The company has been able to further expand the scope of its already broad range of services to become one of the world’s biggest specialists in comprehensive, integrated transportation and logistics.”
