New Appointments for Lokring Northern Signals Growth

March 29, 2016

Lokring Northern (UK), provider of advanced fluid and gas transfer connectors, is celebrating significant expansion and growth with several new appointments within the company.

A recent restructure to accommodate this continued growth has seen Jake Rowley appointed as technical sales engineer for Aberdeen and Donal Heery promoted to technical sales manager.

Jake Rowley joins Lokring Northern with a first class Mechanical and Offshore Engineering degree from Robert Gordon University, and has embarked on a six month training programme with the company which includes account management, sales project co-ordination and marketing activities.

Joining Lokring Northern in 2011 as a technical sales engineer, Donal Heery utilised his civil engineering experience to provide technical sales advice to clients, and establish the Lokring brand as a trusted standard in the oil and gas, nuclear and defence industries. His new role of technical sales manager allows him to manage a team of sales engineers and consultants throughout the UK and Ireland.

Lokring’s technology provides a mechanical method for producing permanent pipe and tube connections and is a safer, faster, lower cost alternative to welding pipework which eliminates the need for hotwork and the associated health and safety issues.

The company’s client base has also significantly expanded, which has been reflected in staff numbers following an increase of 64% since 2014.
Commenting on the company’s growth, Donal Heery said: “The last two years have been fantastic for Lokring Northern, which saw both our staff numbers and client base grow significantly. For the past few years our main focus has been the oil and gas, shipbuilding and nuclear sectors but we continue to strategically and successfully expand our offering in the steel, automotive and food and beverage industries.

“Since joining Lokring Northern, the company has gone from strength to strength which is testament to the hard work and commitment of our teams throughout the UK. I’m delighted to have been promoted to sales manager and believe the role will allow me to further contribute to delivering the strategic results required for long-term success.”

Lokring Northern (UK) has recently announced its title sponsorship of the 2016 Knockhill Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) Event, taking place on 13/14 August. The company is also sponsoring the reigning BTCC champion, Gordon Shedden.
