MVS USA Appointed as Inmarsat GX VAR

May 16, 2015

Inmarsat today announced the appointment of MVS USA, a leader in mobile satellite communications and a founding Inmarsat Distribution Partner, as a Global Xpress (GX) Value Added Reseller (VAR) for the Maritime market, selling FleetBroadband Xtra and Fleet Xpress.

Deborah Deffaa, CEO, MVS USA and Executive Director, MVS Group, commented, “MVS values the relationship developed with Inmarsat over the past two decades and our participation in every new product launch. We are excited about offering the high-throughput connectivity and other benefits that GX brings. Being appointed as a VAR allows us to share this revolutionary technology with our clients.”

Ronald Spithout, President, Inmarsat Maritime, added: “Inmarsat has consistently partnered with MVS, and it is good news that this relationship is reaffirmed through this latest appointment. MVS continues to stay innovative and act as a leader in its market.”

The GX service is currently on-boarded at MVS’ representative office in Cyprus. MVS expects to launch a similar demo site at its New York area showroom later in 2015. The first beta-testing project is due to be launched by MVS with a ship-owner operating in the Mediterranean.
