VesselVanguard Debuts App for iPad

February 6, 2015

VesselVanguard has come up with a new mobile app that gives boat owners an easier way to understand and manage all of the various maintenance requirements for their vessel and its systems and equipment. The app provides a simple, streamlined gateway for VesselVanguard subscribers to access its many features and capabilities, with an interface custom-tailored for ease-of-use on the iPad.

“Since launching VesselVanguard three years ago, it has always been our priority to bring the boating community simple yet powerful tools that effortlessly inform them of needed maintenance and inspections,” said Don Hyde, founder and CEO, VesselVanguard. “Our new app puts key information at users’ fingertips to help them better maintain their boats from anywhere in the world – all for greater peace of mind.”

The new app introduces several exclusive tech-forward features, including universal integration of telematic data to provide technicians more detailed information from engine and equipment sensors before maintenance tasks are begun. In addition, interactive deck maps will be available to provide users access to equipment location, photos, and access points for all on-board equipment at the touch of a finger.

"The platform we have created serves the needs of everyone in the ecosystem of boating, from manufacturers and their dealers, to service departments, lenders and insurers—and, first and foremost, the boat owners,” continued Hyde. “This is more than an app, it’s an answer to the complexities of the most sophisticated asset that most consumers will ever own."

“VesselVanguard is a recognized leader in vessel maintenance management,” said David Hensel, CMO, VesselVanguard. “This new app is another example of how we are using our expertise in both maritime and mobile technology industries to help boaters transform the ownership experience.”

New features from the app will also be incorporated into the current VesselVanguard web application, accessible via PC or any device with a web browser. Other features of the app include:

· Offline access to digital library of all manuals, maintenance calendar and service history
· Owner-selected background images to personalize the interface
· Push notifications sent via email or text for service-related actions
· Easily assigned and scheduled service
· Management of parts, inventories, expenses and service contacts
· Uploaded maintenance-related documents, photos and files
· Tracking of warranty, insurance, boat registration expirations

Availability The VesselVanguard iPad app will be available to download for free from the App Store on February 28th. For more information on VesselVanguard please visit www.vesselvanguard.com.
