Troy Container Line, one the world’s largest American-owned NVOCCs, announce a new partnership with International Forwarding S.L. (IFS) of Spain.

Founded in 1984 as a Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier (NVOCC) Troy has become one of the largest companies in its industry.  From 21 strategically placed warehouses, Troy Container Line serves the needs of thousands of customers with 700 destinations on six continents.

Troy’s COO of exports, Patricia L. Fitzgerald, and Christopher Hellow, COO of imports, were instrumental in developing this strategic partnership and are excited for the enhanced level of service it will provide to Troy Container Line clientele.  In addition to improved local representation and increased efficiencies via IFS’ seven offices in Spain, the cooperation opens the market to handle transit to and from Valencia and Barcelona.

“Enhancing our services while maintaining the most competitive rates in the industry is paramount,” commented Fitzgerald.  “Partnering with a multinational NVOCC as esteemed as IFS is an ideal foundation by which to expand our exports to Spain while upholding Troy’s unwavering commitment to personalized service.  We look forward to working with a partner that shares our company’s vision for service and efficiency.”

The new partnership with IFS also allows for direct import services from Valencia and Barcelona into New York, a first-time service for Troy Container Line clients.  Hellow and the company’s import department, based in Charlotte, N.C., look forward to using their experience and expertise in the importation process to offer IFS clients the personalized service and care on which their company’s reputation is built.

“The entire import team is looking forward to the new demand this partnership will bring,” added Hellow.  “Patricia and I have been involved in every aspect of the negotiation process for the cooperation as well as managing the internal operations associated with this partnership.  We look forward to building on this new business with the top-quality service that is the Troy Container Line tradition.”

International Forwarding SL is the largest and 100 percent neutral NVOCC in Spain.
