Torsional Vibration Symposium Slated for May 21-23, 2014

The 2014 Torsional Vibration Symposium, organized by the Vibration Association, is scheduled for May 21-23 in Salzburg Congress, Austria. The event aims to gather industry experts from around the world to discuss current torsional vibration developments, issues and technologies.

The event will feature five informational sessions, an exhibition, gala dinner and many discussion/networking opportunities.

Preliminary topics include torsional vibration aspects of combustion engines, powertrain components, applications and system behavior, fundamental engineering and torsional vibration calculation, torsional vibration measurement and rules and regulations.

The conferences advisory board includes several industry experts: Robert Gläser, Wärtsilä Switzerland Ltd.; Torsten Philipp,Geislinger GmbH; Per Rønnedal, MAN Diesel & Turbo; Matthias Schuchardt, MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH;Prof. Christoph SpensbergerDresden University of Applied Sciences; Jonathan Walker,MTZ Industrial and Prof. Andreas Wimmer, Technical University Graz.

Authors interested in submitting papers are asked to email a 200-word abstract (in English) to [email protected] by October 30, 2013 for review by the International Advisary Board. Notification of acceptance will be emailed by January 31, 2014. Full papers are due March 15, 2014.

All submitted articles will be available electronically after the symposium.

Registration fees are €890 before December 31, 2013 and €990 from January 1, 2014.
