Thomas Jelenić has been named Senior Ports and Marine Manager in the Los Angeles office of Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global infrastructure strategic consulting, engineering and program/construction management organization.

In his new position, Mr. Jelenić is responsible for leading and supporting port environmental planning and design projects as well as helping to expand the firm’s ports practice in California.  He comes to Parsons Brinckerhoff after 14 years with the Port of Long Beach, most recently serving as Assistant Director of Environmental Planning.  He was an architect of the San Pedro Bay Ports Clean Air Action Plan and was responsible for managing the California Environmental Quality Act and hazardous materials sections of the Environmental Planning Division. He also provided oversight for environmental impact reviews and preparation of environmental impact statements for major construction projects.

Mr. Jelenić received B. S. degrees in civil engineering and environmental engineering from the University of California, Irvine.
