Subsea Solutions Firm Celebrates Anniversary

Subsea & offshore solutions provider Unique Maritime Group (UMG) subsidiary Unique System celebrates its 20th anniverary.

Founded in 1993 with 3 employees, UMG through its expanding network of companies has now become a specialist in the provision of offshore and onshore services including the sale and rental of equipment for the marine, diving, hydrographic, oceanographic, Oil & Gas and NDT market sectors. The group has also developed an established manufacturing capability for the delivery of customized engineering projects worldwide.

Headquartered in the Hamriyah Free Zone in Sharjah, UAE, the group’s head office is situated within a land area of 14,630 square metres and comprises a collection of corporate and administrative offices, electronic and mechanical workshop facilities, training facilities, warehouses and a large area of yard space.

Unique System was established as an equipment rental sales and service organization, providing specialized products and services to the offshore oil, natural gas and maritime industries in the Middle East, India and Singapore. As the group evolved, Unique System began operations in Houston USA, Aberdeen in the UK and Mumbai India, resulting in a new holding company – Unique Maritime Group.

Through a process of both organic growth and the targeted acquisition of companies, the group has continued to expand its services, capabilities and geographical infrastructure to better support customer requirements, regardless of their location.

The Group’s operations , employing over 500 people worldwide , spread across 8 global regions now including Middle East, USA, UK, South Africa, Nigeria, India, Russia and Singapore,
