Germany's Hatlapa Uetersener Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Loewe Marine agree collaboration on steering gear and rudder system maintenance & repairs.

Hatlapa's global sales and service network will go hand in hand with Loewe Marine's international network of shipping lines, shipyards and suppliers. This means that both companies are now able to provide their worldwide customers with cost-optimised maintenance and repair services for steering gear and full-spade rudder systems.

"Thanks to this premium partnership, we will also be able to perform more cost-effective annual inspections of all electrical, hydraulic and mechanical components of steering gear and full-spade rudders," said spokesmen: "Our combined expertise will give ship owners peace of mind, both in terms of cost and technical performance. With us at their side, they will be in the best position to operate their units successfully and reliably."

Established in early 2011, Loewe Marine GmbH & Co. KG is a shipbuilding supplier and provider of consulting and ship-related services to shipping lines, shipyards, subcontractors and banks and companies that plan maritime projects. It supports customers in Germany and abroad in the areas of ship and ship subsystem construction and project management. It also provides sales and contract management support.
