A Coast Guard aircrew from Air Station Cape Cod medevaced a 55-year-old man Saturday afternoon after he was reported to have possibly suffered a heart attack 75 miles southeast of Nantucket.

At approximately 10 a.m. on Saturday, watchstanders at the First Coast Guard District command center were notified by the captain of the container ship Hanjin Baltimore of the medical emergency.

An MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew from Air Station Cape Cod launched to airlift the patient, and arrived on scene at around 2 p.m.

The aircrew hoisted the patient aboard, and transported him to Massachusetts General Hospital, arriving around 3:20 p.m.

The Hanjin Baltimore is a German flagged 984-foot container ship.
