SHIPPINGInsight Open for Online Registration

April 8, 2014

Online registration is now open for SHIPPINGInsight 2014, North America’s premier maritime industry technical forum, scheduled for Sept. 30 - Oct. 2, 2014 at the Sheraton Hotel in Stamford, Conn.

Now entering its third year, SHIPPINGInsight brings together senior executives from shipowners, ship managers, classification societies, regulatory bodies, consultancies and suppliers for three days of discussions on the issues facing today’s shipping fleet operators.

SHIPPINGInsight 2014 will consist of two events – a one-day dedicated Marine LNG Symposium followed by the two-day Fleet Optimization Conference & Exhibition. Delegates may register for either event or take advantage of a combination discount by registering for both.

“SHIPPINGInsight conferences provide a unique opportunity for maritime professionals to learn from experts, see the latest developments in technology and network with peers from all facets of the shipping industry,” said Frank Soccoli, SHIPPINGInsight co-producer. “We have already filled more than 95 percent of speaking slots for both events with an impressive roster of industry experts who will share case histories and best practices for reducing costs and improving ship operating efficiency. Due to our success last year and increased demand for exhibit space, we have expanded the exhibit hall for 2014.”

“Importantly, we already have commitments from senior executives from more than 25 major shipping companies to serve as moderators or speakers at the conference,” he added.

“It became apparent at last year’s SHIPPINGInsight that the hot subject in the maritime community is converting ships to operate on LNG instead of diesel fuel,” said conference co-producer Jim Rhodes. “So we decided to devote a full day at the 2014 conference to the full range of challenges involved in widespread adoption of LNG as a marine fuel. Panel sessions will examine regulatory issues, infrastructure for transporting and storing LNG, bunkering with LNG, designing and building new LNG-powered ships, retrofitting existing ships, handling LNG fuel onboard and crew training.”

Register before Aug. 28, 2014 to take advantage of the $200 early-bird discount for either the Marine LNG Symposium or the Fleet Optimization Conference, or $400 off if you register for the combined events. Go to http://www.shippinginsight.com/choose-event. Registration includes all conference sessions, continental breakfast, lunch, coffee breaks, evening networking receptions and full access to exhibits.

Participants are also encouraged to secure the special group rate of $169/night at the Sheraton Stamford Hotel. To reserve your room, call +1.203.358.8400 and mention group code SHIPPINGInsight or book online at www.shippinginsight.com/location.
