CMA CGM Reorganizes South African Management

CMA CGM announced the reorganization of CMA CGM South Africa, the South African agent of the CMA CGM Group headquartered in Durban, with the departure of Arnaud Thibault, Regional Director and Managing Director of CMA CGM South Africa Pty.

Arnaud Thibault’s leadership and contribution to the development and growth of CMA CGM South Africa is recognized and appreciated by the Group’s Chairman and management team, the company said.

CMA CGM South Africa has opened 10 new agencies in the southern region, general cargo volume increased threefold and reefer cargo volume increased fourfold, which led CMA CGM South Africa to rank within the top five among containership lines in South Africa.

After five years as head of CMA CGM South Africa, Arnaud Thibault will be appointed Deputy Vice President Africa Lines in the CMA CGM Group at the end of January 2014 and will join the Headquarters Office in Marseilles, France.

Estève Servajean, Deputy Vice-President in charge of the African network of Agencies, will take on the position of Regional Director and Managing Director of CMA CGM South Africa as of the end of January 2014 and will rely on both Regional Office and National Teams.

Estève Servajean, who has been working in the shipping industry for more than 15 years and who has joined the CMA CGM Group 12 years ago, has an extensive experience in agency management.
