The Port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife Rewards CAPSA

On May 16, the Compañía Auxiliar del Puerto (CAPSA) will receive public recognition for its achievements of over 50 years from the Fundación Canaria Comunidad Empresarial Portuaria de los Puertos de Santa Cruz de Tenerife (FUNCEPT) (Santa Cruz Port Business Foundation).

A reference terminal for bringing good into and from Europe, Africa and America, CAPSA began operations in 1963 and has belonged to Grup TCB since 1999. The company has Panamax, Post-Panamax and Super Post-Panamax cranes, mobile cranes, 10 RTGs and seven Reach stackers. In addition, its software in terminal management and certificates of quality (ISO 9001) and the environment (ISO 14001) and OHSAS (18001) attest to the excellence of its operational capacity, currently around 400,000 TEUs.

During the first celebration of the Port Community Day of the Province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, rewards will also be presented to the Port Authority of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the Red Cross of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the Corporation of Pilots of the Ports of Tenerife and the OPDR Hamburg shipping company.

FUNCEPT, the foundation awarding this recognition, is made up of business associations and companies related to the port community in the province of Tenerife. Its aim is to promote the Tenerife ports and related industries, and to enhance their competitiveness through training, hiring professionals for the partner companies, providing university scholarships, etc.
